The Interlaken day is the flexible one. It runs six to eight hours from your hotel in the Interlaken area, or from Schlossstrasse 4 in town, and you choose the stops with your guide. The Zurich day is a set loop: from your hotel to the Rhine Falls, along Lake Constance through Germany and Austria, and into Liechtenstein, over ten and a half hours.
On the Interlaken day the suggested stops are Niederhorn, the St. Beatus Caves, the waterfalls of Lauterbrunnen, Pfingstegg and Iseltwald on Lake Brienz. Stay longer where you like it, and skip what you do not.
Both private days collect you. No meeting point, no early walk to the station, no waiting for latecomers.
The Interlaken day costs $924 for up to six people. Six friends pay about $154 each, which is less than any small-group day here.
The Interlaken day accepts strollers and has infant seats. On the Zurich day a child seat or booster comes on request.
The alternative is a small-group day from Interlaken, with 6 to 15 people you have not met. The arithmetic depends on how many of you there are.

For four or more, the private day costs about the same as a place on a small-group day, or less, and the day is yours. For a couple it costs more, and the lifts come on top. Small groups also carry the lifts: the Kleine Scheidegg rail day includes every train, and the Schilthorn afternoon the cable cars to the summit.
